Falcons\u2019 53-man roster,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7383705\/2026\/06\/23\/falcons-53-man-roster-projection-3\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Josh Kendall of The Athletic<\/a> expects Atlanta to keep just two quarterbacks, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PeniMi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Michael Penix<\/a> Jr. and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/TagoTu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tua Tagovailoa<\/a>.<br \/>\nAt running back, Kendall has the Falcons keeping three players, including <a noopener\">Charlie Woerner<\/a>, and Joshua Simon.<br \/>\nRegarding their offensive line, Kendall names undrafted rookie James Brockermeyer as a surprise to make the cut and views him as the team\u2019s possible \u201ccenter of the future.\u201d<br \/>\nWith OLB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PearJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">James Pearce<\/a> possibly facing a suspension, Kendall writes that Atlanta will likely have to find a fourth option, which could be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MaloDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DeAngelo Malone<\/a>.\u00a0<br \/>\nKendall has four inside linebackers making the team, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DeabDi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Divine Deablo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HarrCh06.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Christian Harris<\/a>, Kendal Daniels, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/TindCh00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Channing Tindall<\/a>.\u00a0With that, he lists sixth-round rookie Harold Perkins Jr. as a practice squad addition.\u00a0<br \/>\nFor the Falcons\u2019 fourth safety spot, Kendall believes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HellDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DeMarcco Hellams<\/a>\u00a0will win the job over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BrooNa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-04_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Natrone Brooks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>New Falcons QB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/TagoTu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-22_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tua Tagovailoa<\/a> discussed learning a new system and admitted he was never great at studying, but feels \u201cfootball is universal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \u201cI wasn\u2019t good in school growing up, so studying isn\u2019t my best forte, but football is universal. We\u2019re all trying to get to the same spots on the field, run the same plays, basically,\u201d\u00a0he said via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7351274\/2026\/06\/12\/falcons-otas-drake-london-james-pearce-tua-tagovailoa\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Josh Kendall of The Athletic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Atlanta also brought in RB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RobiBr01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-17_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Brian Robinson<\/a> as a free agent this offseason. Falcons HC Kevin Stefanski said he\u2019s an exceptional fit into their system, and he\u2019ll be able to take some off of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RobiBi01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-22_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bijan Robinson<\/a>\u2018s plate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrian is a really, really talented football player who matches exceptionally with what we want to do,\u201d Stefanski said. \u201cWe want to have an attack that is not just a one-person attack. I think Brian gives us that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlotteobserver.com\/sports\/nfl\/carolina-panthers\/article316180869.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer<\/a> listed five free agents who could make sense for the Panthers to look into before training camp.<\/p>\n<p>Kaye thinks GM <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MorgDa99.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dan Morgan<\/a> will go \u201cbargain hunting\u201d for veteran free agents rather than UFL players.<br \/>\nFirst, Kaye names Cowboys LB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MurrKe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kenneth Murray<\/a> as an option to pair with LB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LloyDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Devin Lloyd<\/a> because of the durability concerns with LB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WallTr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Trevin Wallace<\/a>.<br \/>\nKaye also brings up G <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CappAl00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Alex Cappa<\/a> because of his connections to run game coordinator Harold Goodwin and OL coach Joe Gilbert from their time together in Tampa Bay. Kaye doesn\u2019t see Cappa as an\u00a0\u201cideal first-team option,\u201d but feels he could, at worst, push the depth competition in the second unit.<br \/>\n49ers DE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GrosYe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Yetur Gross-Matos<\/a> is the next name Kaye mentioned as a potential temporary replacement for Turk Wharton as he recovers from a neck procedure.\u00a0<br \/>\nConsidering OL <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/ChriBr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Brady Christensen<\/a> is expected to be fully cleared for contact in early July, Kaye feels he could be an immediate backup at guard and tackle while also serving as an emergency option at center. Kaye also believes Christensen would make sense if Carolina moves on from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/F\/ForsSt00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Stone Forsythe<\/a> in August.<br \/>\nFinally, Kaye names TE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DeguJo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-06-30_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Josiah Deguara<\/a> because of his positional versatility and the team\u2019s lack of depth at the position entering camp.
