With NFL training camps opening later this month, several past Crimson Tide standouts remain unsigned approaching the second week of July. CBS Sports recently made arguments for where Harris and two other former Nick Saban players could land in 2026.

NFL analyst Bryan DeArdo argues for the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks to sign Harris. Joining Seattle would pair Harris with other former Alabama players Josh Jobe, Jarrin Reed, Jalen Milroe and Robbie Ouzts. Jobe and Harris were teammates in Tuscaloosa from 2018-20.

Harris is Alabama’s all-time leading rusher with 3,843 yards, surpassing Derrick Henry’s total of 3,591 yards in 2020. He was the 24th overall selection by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2021 NFL Draft and had four straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons to begin his NFL career.

Harris missed most all of last season after a torn Achilles limited him to three games with the Los Angeles Chargers in his first season away from Pittsburgh.

Need a news break? But with Zach Charbonnet still recovering from last year’s ACL injury, Seattle could use a veteran who can take some of the pressure off Price, who shared a backfield at Notre Dame with Cardinals first-round pick Jeremiyah Love.”

“Another team that might be a good fit for Harris is the Carolina Panthers after they lost Rico Dowdle in free agency. Harris could fill Dowdle’s role while taking some of Chuba Hubbard’s workload.”

Cam Robinson, Jonah Williams among former Alabama football players looking for NFL homes

While playing matchmaker for various NFL free agents, CBS Sports laid out the case for former Alabama offensive linemen Cam Robinson and Jonah Williams to sign with two storied NFL franchies.

DeArdo argues for the Steelers to sign Robinson, a second-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2017 NFL Draft after three years at Alabama.

“On paper, the Steelers don’t need another tackle with Troy Fautanu and Dylan Cook slated to start with Broderick Jones and rookie first-round pick Max Iheanachor behind them. But given Jones’ ongoing neck situation (his playing status remains up in the air after having spinal fusion surgery) and Iheanachor’s inexperience, it would make sense for Pittsburgh to acquire a veteran tackle in the event that something happens to either Fautanu or Cook.

“While he’s been hampered by technical lapses, Robinson is a crafty veteran with 114 career starts under his belt. Last season, he had a career-best 92.1% pass-block win rate.”

DeAdo argues for the Dallas Cowboys to sign Williams, a four-year starter for the Cincinnati Bengals after being draafted 11th overall by the team in 2019 following three years at Alabama.

“Williams’ recent injury history has undoubtedly hindered his market value. With that in mind, Williams’ best bet might be joining a team that would use him as either a swing tackle or as a depth piece. That brings us to Dallas, where the Cowboys could use some experience behind starters Tyler Guyton and Terence Steele.

“While he hasn’t lived up to his draft stock, the former 11th overall pick has nonetheless been a solid pass protector who has started in each of his 79 NFL games.”

Follow us at @RollTideWire on X, and like our page on Facebook, for ongoing coverage of Alabama Crimson Tide news, notes and opinions.

![""/]("https://www.rawchili.com/nfl/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/90460969007-usatsi-27869578.jpg")
