A former Carolina Panthers<\/a> defender is reportedly set to join the NFC East.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, cornerback Rasul Douglas will be signing<\/a> a one-year deal with the Washington Commanders<\/a>. The 31-year-old veteran spent the 2020 season in Carolina, where he made 11 starts in 14 games.<\/p>\n

Washington will account for Douglas’ ninth different stop over his soon-to-be 10-year NFL career. Along with the Panthers\u2014and now the Commanders\u2014the 2017 third-round overall selection has picked up stints for the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>, Houston Texans<\/a>, Arizona Cardinals<\/a>, Green Bay Packers<\/a>, Buffalo Bills<\/a> and Miami Dolphins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His 2020 campaign in Charlotte saw him post 62 combined tackles (one for a loss) and nine passes defensed.<\/p>\n

Douglas was linked back to the Panthers, at least by one analyst<\/a>, earlier this offseason as a potential backup to starters Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson.<\/p>\n
