One of the Miami Dolphins\u2019 best and brightest was called the league\u2019s most underrated player by a rival executive.<\/p>\n

The 2026 Miami Dolphins<\/a>\u2018 roster has several cornerstone players in the midst of their prime. <\/p>\n

Those players are going to be charged with carrying the Dolphins\u2019 into their next build. The Dolphins have done well this offseason to position those players to be in South Florida long-term. Both De\u2019Von Achane and Aaron Brewer were rewarded with big contract extensions. Brewer also got a fresh nod of respect from the league on Sunday, as he was voted as the NFL\u2019s 10th-best interior offensive lineman for 2026. The poll, which came courtesy of ESPN\u2019s Jeremy Fowler, asked NFL scouts, executives, and coaches for their picks at every position. Not only did Brewer get ranked, he was given a major vote of confidence from a rival executive.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvaluators have marveled at Brewer\u2019s development. One NFC scout recalled listing him at 6-foot-1, 274 pounds coming out of Texas State in 2020. Brewer went undrafted. Six years later, he became a second-team All-Pro and earned a\u00a0three-year, $52.5 million extension.<\/p>\n

\u2014\u00a0ESPN\u2019s Jeremy Fowler on Miami Dolphins center Aaron Brewer<\/a><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s compartmentalize for a moment the ranking of 10th overall. It\u2019s a nice nod of respect, but even that ranking seems to further fuel the point of the NFC executive quoted in Fowler\u2019s piece. The poll ranked Brewer third among NFL centers, behind Las Vegas\u2019 Tyler Linderbaum and Kansas City\u2019s Creed Humphrey. Brewer continuing to get accolades and recognition at the center position with those two also in the prime of their years will be a tall task. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard not to envision that Brewer\u2019s untraditional path to this point doesn\u2019t help his case, either. As Fowler points out, Brewer was once an undrafted lineman who lacked traditional NFL measurables. Linderbaum and Humphrey? First and second round draft picks respectively.<\/p>\n

What matters now is that Brewer continues to play like the top-flight talent he\u2019s shown himself to be the last two seasons in South Florida. If he does, that mantle of \u2018most underrated player in the league\u2019 will have to go to someone else. <\/p>\n
