KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn\u2019t involved in the new season of Netflix\u2019s behind-the-scenes docuseries \u2018Quarterback.\u2019 However, the Chiefs star\u2019s play in one game last season led to one standout moment of the show.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s Season 3 of \u2018Quarterback,\u2019 features a new quartet of quarterbacks, including Baker Mayfield, Joe Flacco, Cam Ward and Jayden Daniels.<\/p>\n
In one episode of the show — which released on July 14 — Daniels is amazed by Mahomes\u2019 play at the position the two share. The Washington Commanders\u2019 young star quarterback was sidelined for his Week 8 matchup with the Chiefs.<\/p>\n
That left Daniels like many in Chiefs Kingdom, watching from the sidelines as Mahomes\u2019 magic resulted in a 299-yard, 3-touchdown performance and a 28-7 win over the Commanders.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me go watch Mr. Mahomes throw the football,\u201d Daniels says to a teammate during the show. \u201cI got to see this s— in person myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
After one play, Daniels reveled in Mahomes working outside of the structure of the play.<\/p>\n
\u201cHow do you find that?\u201d Daniels asked. \u201cHe just made up some s—.\u201d<\/p>\n
Daniels, who was named 2024 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year before an injury-filled 2025 led to struggles, also acknowledged how badly he wanted to be playing in the game against the three-time Super Bowl MVP.<\/p>\n
\u201cI appreciate just great QB play,\u201d Daniels said during an interview for the show. \u201cIt\u2019s an art. No glaze, like Patrick Mahomes is good at football.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, bro, I\u2019m glazing,\u201d Daniels said of Mahomes\u2019 skill to a teammate. \u201cHe good, bro.\u201d<\/p>\n
