(Photo by Anjali Sharif-Paul, The Sun\/SCNG)\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\" class=\"icon-enlarge mng-gallery-fullscreen-expand\" aria-label=\"Expand fullscreen slideshow\">Expand<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Born in Fontana, 25-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thatkidjayden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Daniels<\/a> graduated from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maxpreps.com\/ca\/san-bernardino\/cajon-cowboys\/athletes\/jayden-daniels\/?careerid=l26ioqov2k1vf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">San Bernardino\u2019s Cajon High School in 2019<\/a>. He\u2019s now the quarterback for the Washington Commanders. As Cajon\u2019s quarterback, he led the team to a CIF-SS Division 4 Championship in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s event included a backpack and school supply giveaway, vendors and Daniels meeting with fans and signing autographs.<\/p>\n<p>Daniels <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbsun.com\/2023\/12\/09\/former-cajon-high-qb-jayden-daniels-wins-heisman-trophy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">won the 2023 Heisman Trophy<\/a> after a record-setting season at Louisiana State.<\/p>\n<p>Daniels has not forgotten his former city.<\/p>\n<p>In early 2024, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbsun.com\/2024\/01\/20\/jayden-daniels-gets-a-hometown-heros-welcome-in-san-bernardino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">returned to San Bernardino for a celebration in his honor<\/a>, got the key to the city and had Cajon High\u2019s stadium named after him.<\/p>\n<p>Later that year, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbsun.com\/2024\/11\/14\/ex-cajon-high-football-star-jayden-daniels-gives-beats-headphones-to-players-at-his-old-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">gifted each Cajon football player a pair of Beats<\/a> headphones.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NFL star and San Bernardino product Jayden Daniels is giving back to the community that raised him.
