(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wbrc.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">WBRC<\/a>) &#8211; The Atlanta Falcons continue to support flag football in Alabama. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">On Saturday, the Falcons hosted a free flag football clinic for high school aged girls at Legion Field. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Former Alabama defensive back and current Falcons player DeMarcco Hellams was one of the leaders at the clinic. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">\u201cWomen have a lane in football. Girls flag football, we have the Olympics coming up. I definitely think it\u2019s great that they are out here,\u201d said Hellams. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Hellams played at Alabama from 2019-2022 before he was drafted by the Falcons in the 7th round of the 2023 draft. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">\u201cMe having that connection, being a former player for Alabama. A lot of these girls may have watched me with their parents a few years ago,\u201d Hellams said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">This week, the Falcons sent grants to 10 high schools in Alabama to help start flag football programs this fall. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kabrione Cummings, the Falcons Senior Manager for Experiential Marketing, was at Legion Field for the clinic on Saturday morning. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">\u201cThe expansion of girls flag is so exciting, and I hope everyone will be able to rally around that.
