Jimmy Garoppolo isn\u2019t hanging up his cleats just yet. <\/p>\n
The veteran quarterback<\/a> has competed in the NFL for 12 seasons, and it appears he has at least one more campaign in him.<\/p>\n Jimmy Garoppolo spent the last two seasons with the Rams as Matthew Stafford\u2019s backup. In the right situation, he will come back, and he will play football. He has not decided to retire. He just needed some time to himself this offseason,\u201d Garafolo said.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think anything is imminent. I wouldn\u2019t expect him to sign with anybody. From my understanding, he will continue to play.\u201d <\/p>\n After spending the last two seasons in LA, it appears Garoppolo will join another team after the Rams drafted Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson<\/a> with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n While he likely won\u2019t sign with a team anytime soon, there could be an opportunity for Garoppolo down the line.
