Former San Francisco 49ers<\/a> offensive lineman Jordan Devey<\/a> has died at 38 years old.<\/p>\n According to a GoFundMe page<\/a> set up for his widow and children, Devey took his own life.<\/p>\n \u201cTragically, Jordan took his own life, leaving his family to navigate an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time,\u201d the post reads. \u201cAs they face overwhelming emotional and financial challenges, including mounting medical expenses, the community is coming together to support Lindsey and their children. The funds raised will help ease the financial burden, allowing them to focus on healing and moving forward without the added stress of immediate expenses.\u201d<\/p>\n As of Friday night, the GoFundMe page had raised approximately $80,000 of its $200,000 goal.<\/p>\n Devey played for 6 teams in 8 seasons, including a career-high 9 starts for the 49ers in 2015.
