The long wait for the Cleveland Browns<\/a> to get back on the practice field is almost over, with training camp opening this week as they get ready for the start of the 2026 NFL season. Recently on his show, ESPN’s Pat McAfee talked about people being mad at him for pumping up quarterback Shedeur Sanders<\/a>. This is what he had to say in response to that.<\/p>\n

“So many people are mad at us for being pumped that Shedeur was winning\u2026.You see what he did at Colorado? You see what he did at Jackson State? He’s remained the exact same, it feels like. Showed up early, was in the community. He looks like he’s in great shape, not that he ever didn’t. I hope Shedeur does good. I hope the Browns<\/a> win. I hope they win.”<\/p>\n

He was talking with former Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins<\/a>, and they went on to talk about how many talented young players Cleveland has on the roster, like reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year Carson Schwesinger<\/a>. If Sanders can provide halfway decent quarterback play<\/a>, the team could be interesting to watch this season.<\/p>\n
