While the Houston Texans <\/a>like their current status of receivers behind Pro Bowler Nico Collins<\/a>, that hasn’t stopped some speculation about a potential trade for one of the best wideouts in the league. Stefon Diggs’ departure and Tank Dell’s injury have left questions for a No. 2 target in new coordinator Nick Caley’s system.<\/p>\n

One name rumored to be on the move is Miami Dolphins All-Pro Tyreek Hill<\/a>. Dolphins GM Chris Grier has not ruled out a trade since it was brought up back in April. With the June 1 deadline gone, it would make it a lot easier for Miami to get it done as far as spreading out the salary cap over the next two years.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf someone wants to come and give me two first round picks then we\u2019d consider it,\u201d Grier said. \u201cBut,\u00a0as of right now<\/a>, it\u2019s not something we\u2019re considering.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio<\/a>\u00a0discussed some potential suitors for Hill, including the\u00a0Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, Chicago Bears<\/a>,\u00a0Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0San Francisco 49ers<\/a>. Florio even mentioned the Texans<\/a> as a potential suitor for Hill — with the caveat of sending a veteran receiver back to Miami in the process.<\/p>\n

“Maybe, in the end, Hill\u2019s recent effort to fix his image isn\u2019t about persuading the Dolphins to keep him,” Florio wrote. “Maybe he\u2019s hoping it will convince a better team to come get him.”<\/p>\n

While the Texans<\/a> should always be looking to improve the roster, Hill doesn’t feel like the best fit for a Ryans-led team. Hill, 31, is coming off one of his worst statistical seasons where he failed to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards, but his persona on social media isn’t an ideal fit for the team’s culture.<\/p>\n

The Texans aren’t in win-now mode heading into Year 3 of the Ryans’ era, so what’s the asking price to land Hill? Houston gave up a second-round pick last season for Stefon Diggs, who had shown signs of regression late in 2023. He was limited to eight games and suffered a season-ending torn ACL.<\/p>\n
