Cade Klubnik had a strong close<\/a> to Saturday\u2019s scrimmage. He led the second-team offense to a touchdown during a two-minute drill, which included a 66-yard connection with Isaiah Williams. <\/p>\n

The rookie quarterback is battling journeyman Bailey Zappe to be Geno Smith\u2019s backup.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Stumbling blockers\u00a0<\/p>\n

The offensive line had its issues, not only in blocking rookie edge rusher David Bailey<\/a> but also in dealing with blitzes head coach and defensive play-caller Aaron Glenn dialed up. <\/p>\n

Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick came free on a blitz up the middle for a sack.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The offensive guard got in cornerback Azareye\u2019h Thomas\u2019 face after he was called for a personal foul for taking down wideout Omar Cooper Jr. with a horse collar.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Injury report\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bailey limped off late in practice with an ankle injury. Glenn doesn\u2019t believe it is serious, and Bailey was jogging on the sideline after being checked out. Safety VJ Payne (bone bruise) is expected to miss three to four weeks, according to Glenn. <\/p>\n
