According to ESPN NFL Nation Reporter Mike Reiss on ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’ Indianapolis Colts<\/a> veteran defensive tackle Grover Stewart<\/a> ‘might have been the best player on the field’ during Tuesday’s joint training camp practice against the New England Patriots<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The 10-year veteran is once again expected to anchor the Colts run defense headed into the 2026 campaign, and still remains a handful for opposing interior offensive linemen\u2014as displayed firsthand during Tuesday’s practice:<\/p>\n

Entering the last year of a 3-year, $39 million deal that he inked back in the 2024 offseason, Stewart is coming off a 2025 season for the Colts defense in which he recorded 55 tackles, 23 solo, 5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, 18 total QB pressures, an interception, 4 passes defensed, and a forced fumble during all 17 starts.<\/p>\n
