{"id":971904,"date":"2026-08-13T08:54:19","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T08:54:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/971904\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T08:54:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T08:54:19","slug":"aaron-rodgers-shares-final-green-bay-packers-message-after-lambeau-disappointment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/971904\/","title":{"rendered":"Aaron Rodgers shares final Green Bay Packers message after Lambeau disappointment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>   <a class=\"fw\" href=\"https:\/\/profile.google.com\/cp\/Cg0vZy8xMWcxajNfc2h3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"28\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/google-discover.svg\" alt=\"\"\/> Follow us on Google Discover <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be facing the Green Bay Packers in the first of their preseason games this weekend. <\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for Rodgers, there will be no final visit to Lambeau Field on the cards, with Friday\u2019s game taking place in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>The 42-year-old quarterback is calling the 2026 season his final before retiring and walking off into the sunset. <\/p>\n<p>One final game at Lambeau would have been the perfect way for Rodgers to bow out, but it was not to be. <\/p>\n<p>However, the future Hall of Famer was unable to hide his disappointment during his latest sit down with the media ahead of the game against his former team. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/GettyImages-636774444-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Minnesota Vikings v Green Bay Packers\" \/>Photo by Tom Dahlin\/Getty ImagesAaron Rodgers admits he wishes Steelers vs Packers was at Lambeau Field<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/aaron-rodgers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rodgers<\/a> has won one Super Bowl ring during his career and he did that with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/green-bay-packers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Packers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A reunion \u2013 albeit in a preseason game \u2013 for Rodgers is only fitting, but it is not quite the fairytale scenario that the 42-year-old would have been hoping for. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I heard it was possible to play both my former teams, I was really hoping this one was going to be in Green Bay, not just to get back at Lambeau one more time, but to head out to Chives [restaurant] for a dinner and maybe head out to Green Bay Country Club for a quick nine or something. I was really hoping it was going to be in Green Bay for a lot of reasons,\u201d he told the media.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Aaron Rodgers says he was &#8220;really hoping&#8221; this preseason game was at Lambeau after last year&#8217;s game in Pittsburgh. Said he&#8217;s &#8220;bummed out&#8221; it&#8217;s not.
