In Sean McVay\u2019s latest update<\/a> on the matter, he said the Rams and Dolphins haven\u2019t had any \u201cmeaningful, tangible dialogue\u201d lately, seemingly putting a deal on the backburner for L.A.<\/p>\n\u201cBut that can always change pretty quickly as you know,\u201d he said, adding that the Rams \u201ccertainly haven\u2019t closed the door\u201d on a deal.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are a lot of layers with something of that magnitude when you’re talking about the caliber of the player, the compensation that they’re looking for in return, what does that look like in terms of how they want to handle what he’s actually due?\u201d McVay said. \u201cObviously, we love Jalen. We know Jalen intimately. There would be some things that we would need to be able to do if that was going to be a direction that we went.\u201d<\/p>\n
