The San Francisco 49ers kicked off their 13th full practice of training camp on Sunday, the final session before traveling to Southern California for a joint practice with the Los Angeles Chargers. The two teams will meet in a preseason game Thursday night.<\/p>\n
Reporters on hand reported that rookie defensive tackle Gracen Halton<\/a> was among several players not participating in Sunday’s practice. Right guard Dominick Puni<\/a> and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson<\/a> were also absent.<\/p>\n Halton stood out to 49ers star tackle Trent Williams<\/a> in the preseason game against the Tennessee Titans.<\/p>\n “I think the world kind of seen what he has to offer\u2014very explosive, short-area quickness, really powerful,” Williams said on Saturday. “Push you in the mind of D.J. Jones<\/a> a little bit, from what he had when he was here. He definitely impressed.”<\/p>\n Running back Christian McCaffrey<\/a> and defensive end Nick Bosa<\/a> remain sidelined. McCaffrey is dealing with “tightness,” while Bosa is working through soreness and tendinitis in his surgically repaired knee.<\/p>\n Bosa was seen working on the side during practice.<\/p>\n The 49ers also remain without running backs Jordan James<\/a> and rookie Kaelon Black<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sunday’s practice was also the final opportunity for fans to observe the 49ers during an open session in Santa Clara.
