(WLNS) \u2014 While on a break from OTA\u2019s, Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery hosted a youth football camp at Lansing Sexton High School.<\/p>\n<p>Kids had the opportunity to not only participate in drills and learn from volunteer coaches, but also had the chance to catch passes from Montgomery during camp scrimmages.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Around 350 kids between the ages of 6-16 attended the event, as local kids got the chance of a lifetime in playing catch with one of their favorite players.<\/p>\n<p>During the camp Montgomery stressed to everyone just how important education is in being a student-athlete with the \u201cstudent\u201d part always coming first.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
