Travis Kelce is preparing for the new season<\/p>\n
The 36-year-old sports star has been busily preparing for the new NFL season over recent weeks, and Chiefs coach Andy Reid admits that Travis is leaving no stone unturned in his preparations.<\/p>\n
Speaking about his team’s efforts ahead of the new campaign, he told reporters: “You have examples like Kelce, he\u2019s the oldest guy on the team and came out every day and worked to where you had to yank him out of there to give him a breather.”<\/p>\n
Linebacker Nick Bolton has also heaped praise on Travis, revealing that he’s been setting the example for his younger teammates during the pre-season camp.<\/p>\n
He said: “There\u2019s no excuses when you have the old guy out there running routes and stuff like that.”<\/p>\n
\nNick added that it’s been “fun to watch [Kelce] work”.<\/p>\n
\nThe Chiefs endured a poor campaign last season, but coach Reid is confident that they’ve made “progress”.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “They worked hard, and I appreciated that. I thought we made progress.”<\/p>\n
\nTravis married Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden in July, and Patrick Mahomes, his teammate, previously claimed that the chart-topping pop star has helped to make the NFL franchise a “worldwide team”.<\/p>\n
\nPatrick, 30 – who is one of the best-known players in the league – told Time magazine: “[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor\u2019s fanbase.”<\/p>\n
\nPatrick also admitted to being impressed by Taylor’s work ethic.<\/p>\n
\nThe quarterback – who has previously enjoyed Super Bowl success alongside Travis – said: “I\u2019ve met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor\u2019s probably the most down-to-earth person that\u2019s been on that stage for that long.<\/p>\n
\n“She\u2019s never not working. Even when she\u2019s taking her downtime, she\u2019s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song.
