The Broncos<\/a>‘ first preseason game at Empower Field at Mile High was a highly anticipated one. Quarterback Bo Nix made a triumphant return to the field, playing in the first two drives of the game. Nix went 6-of-9 for 76 yards and a touchdown in his return. Nix also gave fans a glimpse of what they can expect in the regular season with a 35-yard strike to wide receiver Jaylen Waddle in the first quarter. Nix scored on both of his drives, keeping the score at a 10-7 Denver advantage when he exited.<\/p>\n Outside of that, it was tough going on both sides of the ball for the Broncos<\/a>. Cornerback Riley Moss was injured on the second play of the game and never returned, while the offense stalled after Nix and the first-team offense left the field.
