The Sabres are going to \u201crun its draft at Highmark Stadium out of the Bills\u2019 war room that is specifically designed for the NFL\u2019s annual selection of college players,\u201d according to Mike Harrington of the BUFFALO NEWS. The league is holding a public gathering for selections at the Peabody Theater in L.A., but all team officials and media, who annually pile into a preselected city, are \u201cstaying home this time.\u201d Harrington notes GMs across the league have become \u201cless enthused by the \u2018destination city\u2019 format in recent years.\u201d The Bills\u2019 setup includes \u201cfour 85-inch monitors and four additional 75-inch monitors, and an entire wall used as a whiteboard.\u201d The Buffalo media will also \u201cbe accommodated in Orchard Park,\u201d in the same areas where reporters who cover the Bills are normally staged. Sabres GM Kevyn Adams called it \u201can advantage\u201d to have an NFL war room \u201cright at our fingertips.\u201d Adams: \u201cIt was a no-brainer. It\u2019s a big room, with lots of digital walls. I saw it the day after the NFL draft and immediately thought how we could tweak it for our lists\u201d (BUFFALO NEWS, 6\/1<\/a>). <\/p>\n

HELP IN THE FRONT OFFICE: The Sabres named Jarmo Kekalainen Senior Advisor\/Hockey Operations.
