BROWNS RELEASE WR<\/p>\n
The Cleveland Browns look like they\u2019re going to be a mess this season.<\/a> They traded Myles Garrett this offseason and recently named Deshaun Watson as their starting quarterback, which has drawn some backlash. However, they\u2019ve still got some exciting pieces, including two promising rookie wide receivers. With their presence, though, means fewer opportunities for other pass catchers in Cleveland.<\/p>\n That includes 2023 third-round pick Cedric Tillman. ESPN insider Adam Schefter recently reported<\/a> that the Browns released Tillman. The receiver has 71 catches for 833 yards and five touchdowns in three seasons. While the Browns didn\u2019t have great quarterback play during that time, Tillman\u2019s production still wasn\u2019t great. As a result, he\u2019s looking for a new team.<\/p>\n Browns are releasing veteran WR Cedric Tillman, per sources. The Steelers traded for Bettis in 1996, and he was with them for 10 seasons. He became the heart and soul of the team, helping Pittsburgh win its fifth Super Bowl in 2005.<\/p>\n The Jim on Base Show on Twitter shared<\/a> a clip of Bettis explaining his favorite play of his career. It was called 38 Boss, and it saw the Steelers\u2019 center pull. That was Dermontti Dawson for much of Bettis\u2019 time in Pittsburgh, and he was known for being an excellent puller. It\u2019s easy to see why Bettis remembers that play so fondly.<\/p>\n COLTS ACTIVATE WR<\/p>\n The Indianapolis Colts traded Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers this offseason. While Pittman was consistent with the Colts, they gave Alec Pierce a big contract this offseason. Therefore, they felt comfortable moving on from Pittman. That looked a little questionable with Pierce dealing with an injury this offseason, but he\u2019s healthy now.<\/p>\n The Colts announced on Twitter<\/a> that they\u2019ve activated Piece off the PUP list.
