All the work done over the offseason &#8211; free agency, the draft, OTAs, minicamps, training camp, and three preseason games &#8211; will pay off with an initial 53-man roster.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1upudxki _174s0un1 _174s0un0 _1mt21p01\">We say initial 53-man roster because teams never stick with just that. Trades might happen before it, or after it. Teams will claim players who are eligible for waiver wire claims, and will try to sign free agent players who don\u2019t have to go through waivers.
