{"id":989407,"date":"2026-09-01T22:24:17","date_gmt":"2026-09-01T22:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/989407\/"},"modified":"2026-09-01T22:24:17","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T22:24:17","slug":"giants-odell-beckham-jr-reclaims-no-13-jersey-for-tuesday-practice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/989407\/","title":{"rendered":"Giants&#8217; Odell Beckham Jr. reclaims No. 13 jersey for Tuesday practice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/teams\/new-york-giants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Giants<\/a> fans don\u2019t have to buy a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BeckOd00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Odell Beckham Jr<\/a>. jersey.<\/p>\n<p>OBJ finally reclaimed his rightful place on the numerical roster at Tuesday\u2019s practice, donning the No. 13 jersey he made famous during his soar to stardom from 2014 through 2018 as a Giant.<\/p>\n<p>Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt had the number, but he was released Sunday and placed on the practice squad.<\/p>\n<p>The exact details of the transfer of the number aren\u2019t yet known, but it secures Beckham as all the way back to the organization that drafted him in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Now the goal is to produce in the regular season and help get the Giants back on the path to greatness.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, and for the team, that is what Beckham wants most.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWalking through life over the last two years, a bit of hardships, I just wasn\u2019t where I wanted to be,\u201d Beckham said Monday. \u201cNow, being able to walk in here, I remember coming here to practice and seeing the \u201886, the \u201890, the 2007 (and) \u201811 banners. And I was like, \u2018Man, I just want to bring one here.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I think you\u2019ll always hear me talk about it,\u201d he added. \u201cI feel like no matter what team you\u2019re on, that\u2019s the goal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Giants completed their 17-player practice squad by making four more signings: offensive linemen Kingsley Eguakun and Darian Kinnard, wide receiver Charlie Jones and defensive back Elijah Jones.<\/p>\n<p>They will practice once more on Wednesday before taking a break for Labor Day weekend and resuming with Week 1 preparations to open against the Dallas Cowboys.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Giants fans don\u2019t have to buy a new Odell Beckham Jr. jersey.
