Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and kick returner Charlie Jones has landed with another NFL organization.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the New York Giants said Jones was one of four players who were signed<\/a> to their practice squad.<\/p>\n

It comes after Jones was left off the Bengals\u2019 53-man roster for the upcoming season, with Cincinnati choosing to keep Ke\u2019Shawn Williams, Dohnte Meyers and rookie Colbie Young as its final three wide receivers.<\/p>\n

Williams is expected to step into the returner role that was held by Jones.<\/p>\n

A fourth-round pick by the Bengals out of Purdue in the 2023 NFL Draft, Jones returned a kickoff for a touchdown in each of the last two seasons, and returned a punt for a touchdown in 2023.<\/p>\n

Across three seasons with the Bengals, Jones returned 50 punts and 47 kicks, averaging 9.2 and 27.3 yards, respectively.<\/p>\n

Jones had 13 punt returns for 115 yards and 42 kick returns for 1,084 yards in 2025.<\/p>\n

Jones\u2019 2023 rookie season was his best as a wide receiver, with seven catches for 64 yards.
