L\u2019Jarius Sneed feels \u2018back at home\u2019 with Chiefs, ready for versatile role on defense<\/p>\n

It didn’t take long for Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed to feel like he was back home in Kansas City.<\/p>\n

After being traded to the Tennessee Titans after the 2023 season, Sneed and the Chiefs agreed on a reunion earlier this summer.<\/p>\n

He saw his first preseason action in last Friday’s tie<\/a> against the Seattle Seahawks.<\/p>\n

\u201cFeels great, man,\u201d Sneed said Wednesday. \u201cFeel like I\u2019m back at home. Back with the brothers, great coaches. I feel like I\u2019m home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sneed reunites with Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and he says he’s ready for anything the defensive coaches give him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWherever he plugs me in, that\u2019s where I\u2019m going to be at,\u201d Sneed said.<\/p>\n

That could include playing in the slot, Sneed said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpags threw me in there my second year,\u201d Sneed said. \u201cHe just threw me in there, and I fell in love with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Sneed’s ability to play inside or outside gives them some flexibility on defense.<\/p>\n

“He can play inside or outside,” Reid said. “That’s the advantage you gain there with him. He loves doing both, but I mean, I think in his size, he’s a big kid, tough. I mean, arguably one of the best corners in the league when he left here.”<\/p>\n

Sneed, originally drafted by the Chiefs, could be considered a veteran in this secondary.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs drafted Mansoor Delane with its first pick of the draft.<\/p>\n
