about Justin Herbert\u2019s safety following a bizarre incident in practice.<\/p>\n<p>The Chargers get their season up and running on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals \u2013 a game they will be expected to win comfortably. <\/p>\n<p>However, any success the Chargers enjoy this season will largely rely on the health and quality of their quarterback, Herbert. <\/p>\n<p>It has been a busy offseason for Herbert, who has been thrown even further into the public spotlight through his relationship with Madison Beer. <\/p>\n<p>The game at SoFi Stadium on Sunday was almost put under question for Herbert after a near miss with a camera operator during Monday\u2019s practice session. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" ImagesLos Angeles Chargers fans react after Justin Herbert injury scare<\/p>\n<p>Touching the quarterback in practice is as big of a no-go for head coaches as there ever will be.<\/p>\n<p>You only have to watch the latest series of Hard Knocks, where Mike Macdonald lost his cool with Seattle Seahawks defender Derrick Hall for getting too close to Sam Darnold. <\/p>\n<p>During the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/los-angeles-chargers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chargers\u2019<\/a> practice, it was actually a staff member who almost collided with Herbert as he snapped the ball. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Someone nearly got fired,\u2019 replied one relieved Chargers fan.<\/p>\n<p>MORE LOS ANGELES CHARGERS STORIES<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Bro I can\u2019t handle this rn,\u2019 said another just days out from the season opener. <\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, there was no collision between the camera operator and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitc.com\/topic\/justin-herbert\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Herbert<\/a>, with the member of staff seen holding up his hand in apology following the close call. <\/p>\n<p>Another fan responded: \u2018This would be the most Chargers thing ever if Herbert got injured from this.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Whilst another said: \u2018Welp that\u2019s one way to lose your job\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>Sunday will offer Chargers fans their first real look at what Mike McDaniel has been creating behind the scenes as the new offensive coordinator. <\/p>\n<p>It could have been so much different had Herbert sustained an injury through this close call, though. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Even the camera guys get pressure on Herbert,\u2019 one fan found the funny side of the incident. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Heart flashed before my eyes,\u2019 said
