The Cleveland Browns are initiating yet another reset after a tough 5-12 finish in 2025. They fired Kevin Stefanski and traded two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, who had been with the franchise since he entered the league in 2017.<\/p>\n
In comes Todd Monken, a longtime offensive coordinator, as the new head coach in Cleveland. Monken has decided to stick with Deshaun Watson as his QB1, a move that has confused<\/a> and enraged some of the fanbase<\/a>. Watson, who missed the entire 2025 campaign due to an Achilles injury, has yet to appear in more than seven games in a single season since 2020. Considering the Browns\u2019 history at quarterback<\/a>, chances are that Shedeur Sanders will get another shot at some point this fall.<\/p>\n There are promising talents around the rest of the roster. Monken gets to work on passing concepts with first-round draft pick KC Concepcion and second-rounder Denzel Boston. Alongside those rookie receivers is Harold Fannin Jr., the breakout tight end entering his second season. The left tackle spot is now shored up by No. 9 pick Spencer Fano, a unanimous first-team All-American from Utah.<\/p>\n Garrett will be missed on defense, but the Browns landed standout edge rusher Jared Verse<\/a> in that trade with the Los Angeles Rams. Verse joins proven players like cornerback Denzel Ward and safety Grant Delpit.
