JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 The Jacksonville Jaguars have elevated QB Nick Mullens to the active roster from the practice squad for tomorrow\u2019s game, the team announced Saturday.<\/p>\n
The announcement comes a day before the Jaguars face the Browns in Jacksonville in the opening game of the 2026 regular season.<\/p>\n
Mullens, 31, spent the 2025 season with Jacksonville and appeared in five games where he completed three-of-three passes for 19 yards and a pair of first downs. <\/p>\n
The Jaguars acquired quarterback Quinn Ewers on August 29, via a trade with the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2028 sixth-round draft pick.<\/p>\n
Ewers\u2019 acquisition proceeded the Jaguars\u2019 decision to not include Mullens on the 53-man roster for the 2026 season and later name the veteran player to the practice squad.<\/p>\n
Mullens originally signed with San Francisco as an undrafted rookie in 2017 and has played in 34 career games (20 starts) with San Francisco (2017-20), Cleveland (2021), Minnesota (2022-24) and Jacksonville (2025).<\/p>\n
