STEELERS AT HIGH SCHOOL GAMES<\/p>\n
Ahead of the season opener Sunday at Acrisure Stadium, several Pittsburgh Steelers were out in the community Friday night at high school football games in Western Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
Tight end Pat Freiermuth attended the Pine-Richland-Central Catholic showdown featuring two of the best high school football teams in the area.<\/p>\n
Freiermuth wasn\u2019t alone, though. He was joined by new Steelers safety Jaquan Brisker and cornerback Joey Porter Jr., making for a star-studded night on the sidelines at the game.<\/p>\n
It was great to see the Steelers out in the community at high school football once again.<\/p>\n
NEW FOOD AT ACRISURE STADIUM<\/p>\n
Acrisure Stadium has undergone a few changes in recent years, and while fans will have some new seats in the upper decks this season, they\u2019ll also have access to new food during games.<\/p>\n
ESPN reported that the Steelers will have a new Black \u2018N Gold Chicken and Waffle meal.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThe iconic colors of the Steelers are represented in a classic Southern meal that includes fried chicken, coleslaw, bacon jam, sweet potato fries and hot honey,\u201d ESPN writes.<\/p>\n When you think Steelers, you think Southern fried food\u2026right? Chicken and waffles is a popular combination, but it\u2019s not something you tend to think of in Pittsburgh. Props to the Steelers for the creativity, though.<\/p>\n NASA HEADED TO STEELERS OPENER<\/p>\n The flyover for Week 1\u2019s season opener between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons at Acrisure Stadium will look a bit different Sunday.<\/p>\n Thanks to a partnership between the NFL and NASA, the Inspiration Tour will \u201cbring America\u2019s strengths in space exploration and aeronautics innovation to the football field,\u201d according to a press release from NASA.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n NASA is heading to the @NFL<\/a>.@NASA<\/a> operates a fleet of aircraft for astronaut training and cutting-edge high-speed and high-altitude research. In celebration of America\u2019s 250th birthday, to showcase our technology and inspire the next generation, we are taking some of those\u2026<\/p>\n
