On Sunday, the Lightning placed veteran forward Conor Sheary on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination. After clearing waivers on Monday, Sheary is set to become an unrestricted free agent on Tuesday.

Sheary, 33, had one year left on his three-year deal, which carried a $2 million salary for the 2025–26 season. He signed with the Lightning two years ago but spent most of last season with the Syracuse Crunch where he recorded four goals and 15 points in 62 games.
