LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Nicolas Hague was traded Monday to the Nashville Predators.

The deal brings 28-year-old defenseman Jeremy Lauzon and 31-year-old forward Colton Sissons to Las Vegas. Nashville will retain 50% of Sissons’ salary as part of the trade.

Hague, a 26-year-old restricted free agent, signed a four-year deal with Nashville worth $22 million. Fans online wished him well in Tennessee, showing the 6-foot-6 Hague hoisting the Stanley Cup on the Las Vegas Strip and reminiscing about the “Haguer-bomb” goals during his years with the VGK.

The Knights are also giving Nashville a conditional third-round pick in the 2027 NHL Entry Draft.

Lauzon is a seven-year veteran in the NHL, playing in a total of 316 NHL games with the Predators, Seattle Kraken, and Boston Bruins. He had career highs in the 2023-24 campaign in games played (79), goals (6), points (14), and hits (383). The native of Val D’or, Quebec has been a part of four trips to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, twice with Nashville and twice with Boston. He was drafted by Boston in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Sissons has played 690 career NHL games, all with the Predators, and recorded 221 points (95 G, 126 A) over 11 seasons. Since the 2019-20 season, Sissons leads all NHL forwards in shorthanded time on ice. In the 2023-24 regular season, Sissons posted a career-high in goals (15), shorthanded goals (3), and points (30) through 72 games played. Sissons is ranked first among Predators players in hits with 1,131 since the 2015-16 season and posted a career-high of 188 in 2021-22. The native of North Vancouver, British Columbia, was drafted in the second round (50th overall) by Nashville in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
