PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.
In exchange, Pittsburgh receives a 2028 third-round draft pick.
Last season, the 29-year-old goalie was 14-15-5 with a 3.12 goals-against average, .894 save percentage and one shutout in 38 games (35 starts) for the Penguins.
He is entering the final season of a two-year, $5 million contract that he signed with Pittsburgh back in 2024.
Pittsburgh now has 28 draft picks over the next three NHL drafts, which includes 16 selections in the first three rounds.
