ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Elmira’s John Beecher weighs in on his return to the Boston Bruins.

On Monday, it was announced that the Boston Bruins re-signed Beecher in a deal good for one-year. It will mark the third season in the NHL for Beecher who plays forward and looks to build off of his first few years in Boston. Beecher scored 11 total points this season on thee goals and eight assists. The 2019 first round pick by the Bruins gives us his take on returning to Boston next year.

“I’m obviously super excited about getting another contract,” Beecher said in a message. “Nice to get that process over with and be able to focus on the rest of the summer, and what I have to do to have a great season. I’ve loved my time here so far and can’t wait to see what next year brings!”

Beecher, 24, aims to help the Bruins get back to the postseason after missing the NHL Playoffs this past year. The University of Michigan hockey alum and Elmira native will no doubt help the Bruins put their absolute best on the ice in 2025-26.
