NHL free agency opens on Tuesday, and the Dallas Stars are preparing to put some final touches on the roster.
After reaching the Western Conference finals in three consecutive years and firing head coach Pete DeBoer earlier this month, the Stars are looking to reload heading into the 2025-26 season.
Dallas has already made a handful of moves with its own players since the season ended, such as re-signing captain Jamie Benn and naming Glen Gulutzan as the club’s next head coach.
But there is still some money left to be spent.

Good morning. NHL free agency opens in just under two hours.
The Stars have $1.76 million in cap space to sign three depth forwards. Wouldn’t be surprised if they made some moves on the blue line as well, but with seven defensemen under contract, it would likely require a trade.
