NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Michael Kesselring showed off excellent spatial awareness as he lit the lamp to equalize in the first period against the Nashville Predators.

After meeting the pass from Ian Cole, Kesselring drifted around the defender before sending an 82-mile-per-hour rocket into the top right corner.

What a sequence from Utah here.

Great keep by Kerfoot, crafty pass at the line from Cole, and then an absolute rocket from Kesselring.

He can let it fly. Blink and you’ll miss it. https://t.co/SR7NJwP5pw

The score was Kesselring’s seventh of the season and moved him up to 28 total points.

The match started with an early double foul on Utah and a two-man advantage for Nashville. The Hockey Club nearly killed both penalties, but Ryan O’Reilly was able to put the Predators on the board after about six minutes of action.

Nashville held the advantage in time of possession, shots, and faceoff wins in the first period. Utah stayed active and forced 10 giveaways, which helped them keep it close.

Utah Hockey Club Ends Season With Two Games In Two Nights

The Utah Hockey Club closes out its inaugural season with back-to-back games, beginning tonight against the Nashville Predators.

The Hockey Club looks to get revenge against the Predators, who spoiled their final home game at Delta Center last Thursday. Nashville also wiped Utah in the clubs’ first meeting back in November.

Utah comes in having won five of its last seven games, while Nashville has lost seven of its last nine. Following tonight’s match, the Hockey Club will wrap up the season against the Blues in St. Louis tomorrow.
