A recent signing has unveiled the Boston Bruins organization is set to depart with a specific net-minder, and it’s shocking.
History is seemingly repeating itself in the Boston Bruins’ net, as new insight has unfolded that the organization is set to depart with yet another net-minder.
Back in the 2023/24 NHL season, former net-minder, Linus Ullmark, and the Bruins’ current starting goaltender, Jeremy Swayman, were both seeking a starting position, which ultimately left the organization to choose who to keep and who to let go.
This conflict unfortunately concluded in Ullmark’s departure from the Boston Bruins organization, where he was then acquired by the Ottawa Senators, as Boston couldn’t offer him the position he was in search for.
Now, history is seemingly repeating itself, as the Boston Bruins’ backup net-minder, Joonas Korpisalo, is undoubtedly frustrated that he is not starting enough games with the Bruins.
This is the exact scenario that the Bruins’ general manager, Don Sweeney, and the front office endured during the 2023/24 NHL season with Ullmark and Swayman.
And this ending is seeming pretty spot on to the last occurrence of this kind of situation.
The Boston Bruins have also just confirmed a new signing of the organization’s alternative net-minder, Michael DiPietro, which is suggested to be the nail in the coffin for Korpisalo.Lots of trade chatter around #NHLBruins goalie Joonas Korpisalo after the Michael DiPietro signing this morning. Trying to confirm teams that are poking around.
Bruins looking for a new home for Joonas Korpisalo?
