A signing has recently been confirmed within the Bruins organization, which has ultimately suggested the longevity of the team’s top-forward, David Pastrnak, in Boston.
As the Boston Bruins continue to undergo massive changes this offseason, in hopes to re-tool their organization in time for the 2025/26 NHL season, a recent announcement has unveiled that a strategic move has been completed within this Original Six franchise.

Not only does Blumel’s skill level seem intriguing, but an additional announcement unveiled that the Boston Bruins’ top-forward, David Pastrnak, spoke to the 25-year old prior to his signing, expressing that the organization would love to have him in Boston.
MatÄ›j Blümel: “At the end of the day it came down to Bruins and Penguins. They are rebuilding and there are some spots to be filled. I actually had a call with Pasta and he told me they would really love to have me there.”
To add, this young forward is allegedly good friends with the Boston Bruins’ top-forward, David Pastrnak, who he played with during the 2025 IIHF World Championships.
That being said, this has suggested that David Pastrnak’s future in Boston may be more certain than some have anticipated.
