The newest trio of Maple Leafs additions, including forward Nicolas Roy, have selected their jersey numbers ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been among the busiest teams this offseason, already making several trades and signings to try to reshape the roster.
The newly acquired Leafs revealed their jersey numbers for the upcoming season. As per Lance Hornby on X:
“By the (new Leaf sweater) numbers:
Nicolas Roy: 55
Michael Pezzetta: 65
Matias Maccelli: 63″
Nicolas Roy chose #55, last worn by Matt Benning (2025), Mark Giordano (2022-24), and Ben Hutton (2021). Roy wore #10 with the Vegas Golden Knights.Michael Pezzetta stuck with his previous #65, most recently worn by former fan favourite Ilya Mikheyev (2020-22) during his time in Toronto.
The 24-year-old Matias Maccelli also kept his old number from the Utah Mammoth: #63. That number was previously worn by Tyler Ennis (2019) and Dave Bolland (2014).
With training camp underway, Roy, Pezzetta, and Maccelli will all be battling for spots in a competitive Leafs lineup, though Roy and Maccelli are more than likely already penciled in.
The team aims to be tougher to play against as they once again search for answers to push deeper into the playoffs.
