The Washington Capitals earlier today re-signed one of their forward prospects. The Capitals re-signed forward Hendrix Lapierre to a one-year, one-way contract with an $850,000 AAV. In 32 games for the Hershey Bears this past season, he recorded 32 points on seven goals and 25 assists. Lapierre was a plus-eight and had one game-winning goal. In 27 games for the Capitals this season he had eight assists. Lapierre was a minus-three. In eight Calder Cup Playoff games, he recorded three assists. He was a minus-four as well.

Hendrix Lapierre
The Capitals drafted Lapierre 22nd overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. In 84 career NHL games, he’s recorded 31 points on nine goals and 22 assists. Lapierre is a minus-two with two power-play points and one game-winning goals. In 113 career AHL games, he had 79 points on 27 goals and 52 assists. Lapierre was a +16 with six power-play goals, two shorthanded goals, and three game-winning goals. In 48 career Calder Cup Playoff games, he has 31 points on ten goals and 21 assists. He has two power-play goals, a game-winning goal. In the two seasons the Bears won the Calder Cup, he played in 40 games, recording 28 points on ten goals and 18 assists on the Hershey run. Lapierre was a plus-two with two power-play goals and a game-winning goal.
