The Boston Bruins had an extremely underwhelming 2024/25 NHL season, filled with questionable trades and absence of postseason contention.

Due to this, the Boston Bruins confirmed the organization will be undergoing a re-tool, and it seems as though they are not taking it lightly.As the organization has already begun to acquire and depart with many players within the National Hockey League, included the Boston Bruins’ former defenseman, Parker Wotherspoon.

NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman, as well as other reporters, have unveiled that the Pittsburgh Penguins have signed defenseman, Parker Wotherspoon, to a two-year, $2M contract with a $1M cap hit.

Parker Wotherspoon, signed 2x$1M by PIT, is a two-way third-pairing defenceman who did very very well in that role for the Bruins all things considered. Maybe gets a chance at a bigger role with the Penguins. #LetsGoPens

Prior to the departure of Wotherspoon, he endured 55 games with the Boston Bruins, accumulating one goals, six assists, totalling a seven points, and a plus/minus of -10.
