We have an interesting new update to report involving center Evgeny Kuznetsov and the Montreal Canadiens.
According to the excellent Marco D’Amico, who has 100% reliable sources on the matter, the Canadiens have their eyes on Kuznetsov. Wow!
There’s even a circulating rumor that Kuznetsov could center a line with young Ivan Demidov in Montreal next season.

Now, the only question is: which team will it be?
As for the Habs, the connection with Demidov is clear:

Kuznetsov, 33, is a 6-foot-1, 198-pound center.
He was a first-round pick of the Washington Capitals in 2010 and has recorded 575 points in 743 career NHL games.
More recently, he posted 55 points in 81 games in 2023, and 78 points in 79 games in 2022.
This past season, Kuznetsov tallied 37 points in 39 games in the KHL-mostly while playing on the same line as none other than Ivan Demidov.
