Toronto Maple Leafs top draft pick Tinus-Luc Koblar is already turning heads at development camp and his future is looking bright.

As the Toronto Maple Leafs prepare for the 2025-26 season, their development camp is in full swing, giving prospects a chance to prove they have what it takes to eventually compete at the NHL level.

The towering 6’3 centreman is already making a strong impression, and the development staff, coaching staff and management team all seem to like what they see in the big-bodied Norwegian.

According to Mark Masters on X:

Hayley Wickenheiser calls Leafs top pick Tinus Luc Koblar “bright spot” at development camp: “He doesn’t give up much on the ice. He gets pushed around a little bit & then he pushes right back.”
Koblar is also earning praise from his peers. Last year’s first-round pick Ben Danford (31st overall) had this to say:

“He’s going to be a really special player soon.”

Big Centreman Koblar Turning Heads at Development Camp

This year’s development camp has been described as especially intense and competitive. With praise coming from both Hayley Wickenheiser and fellow top prospects, Koblar’s early impact is drawing serious attention.

While he’s likely still a few years away from making the NHL, it’s clear that the Leafs see a bright future in Tinus-Luc Koblar.

The Maple Leafs are undergoing a shift in their organizational identity, and developing top prospects like Koblar will be increasingly important moving forward.
