For the second straight summer, the Pittsburgh Penguins have helped a cap-strapped Western Conference team by accepting a castoff who made too much money. This time, the Penguins trade was for a second-round pick and yet another right-handed defenseman.

As Dan Kingerski of the Pittsburgh Hockey Now broke down the trade, from the superficial to the in-depth aspects, including the scenarios surrounding Dumba’s future, and, most importantly, what comes next for the Penguins.
