During an interview with NHL Network, former Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin made some very interesting revelations.

For the first time, he finally admitted to himself that his time in Montreal wasn’t very good for him, and he even seemed to confirm that he completely lost the joy of playing while with the Canadiens.

He was under so much pressure that it must have become unbearable.

What happened is likely what we all unfortunately noticed.. He lost his spark.

He lost the joy of playing hockey, which is such an important and vital part of being successful in the NHL.

Now freshly signed by the New York Islanders, Drouin is much more open to talking about his past.

“During his appearance on NHL Network, where he was asked to comment on his time in Denver, he said that’s exactly what he needed because he rediscovered the joy of playing.”

And he added this: “my time in Montreal wasn’t very good for me.”

What matters most is that Drouin is now happy and has found the joy of playing hockey again.

Let’s remember that on July 1st, Jonathan Drouin signed a two-year contract worth $4 million per year with the New York Islanders.
