Today, we take a closer look at the newly named Utah Mammoth and their collection of OHL-developed talent progressing through the ranks.
Cole Beaudoin (C) – Barrie Colts (2022-25)
Selected: 1st Round, 24th Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 182 GP, 58 G, 75 A, 133 PTS, +2
Age: 19
Cole Beaudoin wrapped up the 2024-25 season just shy of a point-per-game pace, tallying 51 points (22-29–51) in 52 games. As an assistant captain, he helped guide Barrie to the OHL Eastern Conference Final, contributing 13 points (4-9–13) in 16 postseason contests. Internationally, he suited up for Team Canada at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Noel Nordh (LW) – Soo Greyhounds (2024-25)
Selected: 3rd Round, 72nd Overall (2023)
OHL Career Stats: 47 GP, 21 G, 32 A, 53 PTS, -1
Age: 20
The youngest player on the Tucson Roadrunners’ season-opening roster, Noel Nordh began the year in the AHL before joining the Greyhounds for his OHL debut. The Swedish winger made an immediate impact, posting 53 points (21-32–53) in 47 games. He also represented Sweden at the 2025 IIHF World Juniors.
Owen Allard (C) – Soo Greyhounds (2021-25)
Selected: 5th Round, 135th Overall (2024)
OHL Career Stats: 166 GP, 49 G, 54 A, 103 PTS, +16
Age: 21
Despite battling injuries in his final OHL season, Allard managed 28 points (14-14–28) in just 31 games. He added four more points (2-2–4) in five playoff appearances. The versatile centre is expected to make his AHL debut with the Roadrunners in the fall.
Anson Thornton (G) – Sarnia Sting (2021-22), Barrie Colts (2022-23)

OHL Career Stats: 70 GP, 3.46 GAA, .896 SV%, 37-25-3-2
Age: 22
Signed as a free agent by the Arizona Coyotes (now Utah Mammoth) in 2021, Anson Thornton has spent time developing in both the AHL and ECHL. This past season with the Allen Americans (ECHL), he appeared in 31 games, posting a 2-18-7 record, 4.35 GAA, and .888 save percentage.
Curtis Douglas (C) – Barrie Colts (2016-18), Windsor Spitfires (2017-2020)

OHL Career Stats: 247 GP, 83 G, 85 A, 168 PTS, +17
Age: 25
Known for his towering frame (6’9”, 242 lbs) and physical style, Curtis Douglas has spent the last two and a half seasons with Tucson. In 2024-25, he tallied 23 points (10-13–23) and racked up 117 penalty minutes over 63 games. He has 508 PIM across his AHL career to date.
