JACKSON, Wyo. — Las Vegas, Nevada’s National Hockey League (NHL) team, the Golden Knights, is coming to Jackson this week on Thursday, August 1.

The Golden Knights will host a free reading for kids from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Teton County Library that day, followed by an on-ice clinic from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Snow King.

For the reading, representatives of the team, including mascot Chance, will be at the library to read from the team’s book, It Hurts to Win. The event will conclude with a question and answer session, opportunities for a photo with Chance and a book signing.

Later that day, starting at 3:30 p.m., members of the Knights’ youth hockey coaching staff will put on a set of two one-hour clinics at the Snow King Sports & Events Center. Those interested in participating can sign up through Snow King.

Clinics will be held both on and off the ice. Non-skaters can participate in the off-ice option of ball hockey.

The team’s visit comes as part of a tour of its television broadcast area. The Knights will also be visiting Billings, MT, Coeur D’Alene, ID, Boise, ID and Reno, NV on this circuit.
