Chester, PA: A new chapter in the rich history of Philadelphia vs New York would take place on Saturday night at Subaru Park as the Philadelphia Union would do battle with the New York Red Bulls. This would be the Union’s first home MLS game since June 14, when they won against Charlotte. Coming into the game, the Union were on a 2-game losing streak & looking to start a new winning streak.

How the game went:
Early on in the first half, both the Union & Red Bulls would have their chances to make some noise and take control, but they just could not get it done. The Union would get the scoring party started in the 9th minute for 1-0 lead by Indiana Vassilev

The Red Bulls would attempt to get back into the game, but Andre Blake said NO in my house. Philadelphia Union would take a 2-0 lead into halftime & what can the Red Bulls do to get back into the game

In the second half, the Red Bulls had a couple of good chances to score, but the Union’s defense was on point & making the stops. Once the final whistle blew, the Union got back to the win column & ended their two-game losing streak. This was the type of game that the Union needed to get back to their winning ways after 2 hard-fought losses to Nashville & Columbus
