It’s no longer a secret – the Montreal Canadiens and the St. Louis Blues are engaged in ongoing trade talks involving Jordan Kyrou.

Will it lead to an official trade?

We’re likely to get an answer soon, but this really seems to be serious.

The Canadiens and the Blues now have to agree on the price.

Well then, let’s talk about that asking price.

While appearing on the “Poolcast” podcast with Pascal Cameron and Marco Normandin, insider Marco D’Amico revealed some very interesting information on the subject.

The Montreal Canadiens have removed two names from any trade discussions

Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton have made it very clear – they want absolutely nothing to do with trading them.

“I’d add that, if the trade does go through, materializes (for Jordan Kyrou and the Montreal Canadiens), those two wouldn’t be in the package.”

The insider added that they did the same thing with Noah Dobson.

The Canadiens’ management refused to include Michael Hage or David Reinbacher in the deal.
