The Predators’ 2025-26 schedule features an Oct. 9 opener against Columbus, two contests in Sweden against Sidney Crosby’s Pittsburgh Penguins and a season-long, seven-game road trip spanning parts of December and January.

Nashville will be looking to rebound from last year’s disappointing 30-44-8 record, which represented the fifth-fewest full-season wins in franchise history.

The Preds’ first step in that direction will come against the Blue Jackets at Bridgestone Arena, where the team was 20-18-3 last season. Nashville will also play its longest homestand of the season — five straight games — later in October.

The first road test is a big one, four straight mid-October games away from home, where the Predators were just 10-26-5 in 2024-25.

Here are some other notables from the schedule, which can be found in its entirety here:

• The Predators will play Pittsburgh in Stockholm, Sweden, on Nov. 14 and Nov. 16 as part of the NHL’s Global Series.

• Nashville will host the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers, on Nov. 24. The Preds play at Florida on Dec. 4.

• The Preds’ seven straight games away from home will see Nashville play at Minnesota (Dec. 23), St. Louis (Dec. 27), Utah (Dec. 29), Vegas (Dec. 31), Seattle (Jan. 1), Calgary (Jan. 3) and Edmonton (Jan. 6).

• Nashville will host the Washington Capitals, featuring the NHL’s all-time leading goal scorer in Alex Ovechkin, on Jan. 11.

• The Predators will be off from Feb. 6 through Feb. 26 as part of the NHL’s Olympic break.

• Nashville will on March 21 play host to Vegas, featuring forward Colton Sissons and defenseman Jeremy Lauzon, traded by the Preds to the Golden Knights earlier this offseason.

• The Preds will play 13 of their final 22 contests on the road.

• The Predators will wrap up their regular season with a home contest against Anaheim on April 16.

• January and March are the Preds’ two busiest months, as Nashville will play 15 games over 31 days each month.

• In large part due to the condensed schedule of an Olympic year, the Predators will play 13 sets of back-to-back games this season. That’s five more than the team played during the 2024-25 season.

• The Preds play 12 times on Saturday at Bridgestone Arena, 11 times on Thursday, seven times on Tuesday, five times on Monday, three times on Sunday and twice on Wednesday.

• Nashville will play five Saturday afternoon games — Nov. 1 against Calgary (2:30 p.m.), Nov. 8 against Dallas (2:30 p.m.), Jan. 24 against Utah (2:30 p.m.), March 21 against Vegas (1 p.m.) and April 11 against Minnesota (4 p.m.).
