LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Kings open their schedule at home against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday, October 7th at 7:30 p.m. as part of the NHL’s Opening Night Triple Header on ESPN.
The Kings start the season with eight road games compared to their four at Crypto.com Arena. After their home game to start the 2025-26 season, Los Angeles will play three straight road games against the Vegas Golden Knights, Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild. They will then travel home for two games before embarking on a five-game road stretch against the St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, Chicago Blackhawks, and rival San Jose Sharks, concluding October at home against the Detroit Red Wings.
Los Angeles will then mix 22 home games and 23 road games before the All-Star break which starts after their game on February 5.
During this span, the Kings will play the rival Anaheim Ducks in all four scheduled contests for the season. They play in Anaheim on Friday, November 28, at 1 p.m., in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 27, at 6 p.m., and then play a home-and-home series, first in L.A. on Friday, January 16, at 7:30 p.m., before heading to Anaheim on Saturday, January 17th, at 7 p.m.
Los Angeles will also host the reigning Stanley Cup Champions, the Florida Panthers, on Thursday, November 6th, at 7:30 p.m., and the all-time leading goal scorer, Alex Ovechkin, and the Washington Capitals on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 7:30 p.m.
After the All-Star break, the Kings will have a six-game home stand, hosting the Golden Knights, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Avalanche, New York Islanders, and finally the Montreal Canadiens in an 11-day span, starting on February 26 and ending on March 7.
They have another long home stretch of seven straight games starting on Saturday, March 28th at 6 p.m. against the Utah Mammoth and ending on April 11th at 1 p.m., where the Kings invite Edmonton once more. During this 15-day period, the Kings will also play the Blues on April Fools’ Day at 6 p.m., the Predators on April 2nd at 7:30 p.m., the Toronto Maple Leafs on April 4th at 4 p.m., and the Vancouver Canucks on April 9th at 7:30 p.m.
The Kings will have seven preseason games. They first will host the Ducks on September 21 at Toyota Arena in Ontario at 3 p.m., play at Vegas on September 23 at 7 p.m., play at the Honda Center against the Ducks on September 24 at 7 p.m., invite the Ducks to Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield on September 27 at 3 p.m., play the Mammoth at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho, at 6 p.m. on September 30th, play the Mammoth at the Delta Center on October 2 at 7 p.m., and finally round the preseason off with the Ducks at Crypto.com Arena on October 4 at 1 p.m.
